Swan Hellenic Reintroduces River Cruises

Swan Hellenic plans to return to river cruising in 2009 after its partnership with A-ROSA. The spring and summer/autumn river cruise programme will feature ten-night itineraries on the Danube and seven-night itineraries on the Rhone. An exclusive thirteen-night Christmas cruise for 2009/10 cruise will also be available on the Danube, further extending their river programme. 

Swan Hellenic chairman Lord Sterling said: "Being well acquainted with A-ROSA from earlier years when they were part of the P&O Group, we are confident of delivering a memorable Swan Hellenic travel experience."

River boats will have a maximum of 100 cabins, most with French balconies, and will accommodate 200 passengers. The Danube cruises embark and disembark in Vienna; visiting Budapest, Melk, Linz and Passau, with two nights in Vienna.

Cruises along the Rhône and Saône embark and disembark in Lyon, exploring the historic cities of Mâcon and Chalon-sur-Saône with overnights in Avignon and Arles.
