Nile

A River Nile cruise is a journey back through the millennia to a time when Pharaohs believed they were immortal and people worshipped the gods of the five elements: earth, water, sky, air and the sun. Vast temples, elaborate necropolises, huge obelisks and incredible statues were erected along the banks of the Nile as each king tried to create his own legacy, celebrate victories and pay homage to the gods.

The antiquities today are breathtaking, set against the exotic and beautiful backdrop of the Nile Valley as the river carves its way through Upper Egypt.

A Nile river cruise is a quick and convenient way to absorb this fascinating place. Whether you choose the most popular itinerary, between Luxor and Aswan, or three soporific days drifting through the vast expanse of Lake Nasser, you'll take a crash course in Egyptology, visiting tombs and temples, learning the funeral rituals of the Pharaohs, as well as exploring the riverside towns.
