Q: I am looking for a River Cruise in May/June 2009, lasting a minimum of 10 days, which is a no-fly cruise. I would need a cabin with twin bunks. Destinations: preferably Rhine, but open to ideas. Any suggestions, please? 1 answer

There are plenty of cruises down the Rhine which go from and return to Amsterdam. Stenaline operate a ferry service from Harwich to Holland, you could either take the car across or you could go by rail to Harwich and get the train at the other end to Amsterdam. Bulb field itinerary is very good and you could if you wanted extend your stay and have a few nights in Amsterdam. 2009 holidays will go on sale in the next month or so, try Viking or Peter Deilmann. Obviously the River Seine and River Rhone are also very easy to do without flying, simply catch eurostar to Paris, and a TGV onto Lyon for the Rhone.
