Q: Having been on a Nile cruise where the stench of deisel often spoilt the day especially when moored 5/6 boats deep, do the same problems occur on a european riverboat cruise ie. fuel smell and mooring up alongside other boats and using them as access to the shore? 1 answer

Not at all, I never smelt any diesel on my whole cruise down the Seine! European river cruises are quite different and there are much fewer boats about!
